Chinese-backed PE fund to invest in Romania and Poland

In the news this week CEE Partners talked up Poland and Romania as fertile ground for investment. CEE has been active in recent months in the region and is now investing from its EUR 1.5 billion pool of capital (EUR 500 mn from China-CEE Fund with a recent pledge of EUR 1 bn from China Export Import Bank).


The fund manager has a focus on classic Infrastructure (roads, airports, and bridges), energy (such as wind farms), telecommunications, and industrial (such as engineering firms). It has already completed four investments.
