LBO Volume Falling

Buyout houses are doing way fewer deals these past three months than earlier this year, according to dealogic. The global LBO loan volume stands at USD 2.4bn (four deals) in October 2014, following three consecutive months of volume declines beginning in July 2014. It was the lowest monthly LBO volume since January 2010 ($1.7bn). Dealogic said that monthly trends notwithstanding global LBO volume is up by 5% on the USD 118.5bn borrowed in 2013 YTD, and and the YTD volume is at its highest since 2008.
