PE Activity in Israel Up 90%

The latest PE and VC figures from Israel are all up on the previous year’s fourth quarter, according to Gross, Kleinhendler, Hodak, Halevy, Greenberg & Co and IVC. Private equity involvement in high-tech deals was up 90%in 2014, attracting 19% more capital.


The full year activity was USD 2.18 billion, up 10 percent from the UAS 1.98 billion invested in 71 deals in 2013.Two deals accounted for 52 percent of total investments in 2014, a buyout of for USD 650 million buyout by Apax and Oaktree Capital’s USD 475 million buyout of utilities holdings of Veolia Israel.
